Likee Video Won't Download? What Usually Causes It

Start here: does the link point at a video?
The most common cause is not a broken video — it is the wrong address. A Likee profile link looks similar to a video link but contains no video id, so there is nothing to resolve. Open the clip you actually want, then use Share, then Copy link.
The same applies to links that a chat app has shortened or wrapped into a preview card. Paste the plain link rather than the forwarded preview.
Expired short links
Likee's share links are short codes that map to a post id on their side, and they are not guaranteed to live forever. If a link that worked yesterday does nothing today, it has probably expired. Opening the video again and copying a new link takes five seconds and fixes the majority of failures.
The post was deleted, or the account is private
If the uploader removed the post, or their account is not public, the media is not being served to anyone. No downloader can help with that, because there is no file to fetch.
You can check in a second: open the link in Likee itself. If the video plays there, the post exists and the problem is the link you copied. If it does not play, the post is gone or private, and no tool will change that.
The clip plays fine but your download has no sound
That one is not a failure. Likee publishes a single MP4 per video with the picture and the sound stored together, so a silent download means the upload itself was silent — a clip posted without an audio track. Nothing was stripped on our side, and Likee Downloader does not re-encode, so whatever sound the uploader posted is still in the file.
If you genuinely need only the audio, download the MP4 and split the sound out locally with any video tool. Doing it on your own machine keeps the audio at full quality, which is better than having a server re-encode it on the way through.
