How to Download Likee Videos Without Watermark (2026 Guide)

Why Likee videos have a watermark

When you watch a clip inside the Likee app, the file you are streaming already has the Likee logo moving across the picture. That is not an overlay the player draws on top of the video — it is part of the video track itself, which is why screen-recording can never remove it.

The share page exposes a different file. Likee's CDN stores the same upload under two names that differ by a single suffix, and the one without the suffix is the uploader's own copy, untouched. A clean download is a matter of asking for that one instead.

The fastest method (no app, 30 seconds)

1. Open the video in Likee, tap Share, then Copy link.

2. Open Likee Downloader in your browser and paste the link into the box.

3. Press Download on the row that appears. Likee publishes one MP4 per video with the sound already inside it, so there is one row, and that row is the original file.

4. On desktop the file lands in your Downloads folder. On iOS, Safari offers Save to Files. On Android it goes straight to Downloads.

The watermarked copy is a different file, not the same file with a logo

It is worth knowing what you are avoiding, because the difference is larger than the logo suggests. We compared both versions of the same clip and the watermarked one came out at 24,025,502 bytes against 53,642,228 bytes for the clean file — less than half the size, which means it had been re-encoded and lost detail on the way.

It was also three seconds longer. Those three seconds are Likee's end card: the short outro the app plays after the clip. A downloader that fetches the watermarked copy hands you a lower-quality file with an advertisement glued to the end.

One honest caveat: the suffix rule is a naming convention we measured on four videos and frame-checked on three, not a published contract. It has held on every clip we have tested, but we say measured rather than guaranteed.

Common failures and what to do about them

The link has expired. Short links are not permanent. Open the video again in Likee and copy a fresh link rather than reusing one from a chat history.

The video was deleted or made private. Nothing can resolve it — the media is no longer served to anyone. If you follow the account, Likee's own Save button still works for posts that remain public.

You copied a profile instead of a video. A profile URL carries no video id, so there is nothing to resolve. Open the clip itself first, then share it.

Is it legal?

Downloading a video for your own offline viewing is a different act from republishing it. Re-uploading someone else's clip as your own content is copyright infringement in essentially every jurisdiction, and it breaks Likee's terms as well.

The safe rule: download your own uploads freely, download other people's only when the creator has given permission, and never re-upload someone else's work.
