Known limitations
- Only public posts can be resolved. Private, deleted and age-restricted posts fail — Instagram blocks them at the source, and no tool can work around that.
- Some Instagram posts are published without an audio track. That is how the post was uploaded, not a fault in the download — Likee Downloader labels those renditions "video only" before you download them.
- A carousel post that holds several videos returns one of them. Instagram does not hand the rest to a logged-out request.

Is downloading videos legal?

Is it safe to use this site?
Nothing gets installed, so there is no app asking for permissions and no extension reading your pages — it all runs in the tab you already have open. Paste a link and the file streams straight to your device; nothing is kept afterwards. One thing worth saying plainly: any downloader sees the link you paste, so do not paste a link you would not hand to a stranger.
Can I download Instagram videos on a computer?

The video I downloaded has no sound. Why?
Because the upload itself is silent. Instagram publishes one file per video — an MP4 with the picture and the sound stored together — so Likee Downloader never hands you a video-only rendition that is missing a separate audio track. If the file is silent, the uploader posted it that way; nothing was stripped on our side, and we do not re-encode, so whatever sound was there is still there.
Can I download a Instagram live stream?
No. A broadcast has no end, so there is no finished file to hand you — this works on posted videos. If the creator keeps the replay, it becomes an ordinary post and downloads like any other.
Does the creator get notified when I download their video?
No. The file is fetched from the public delivery link, so no view and no download is attributed to you. Likee Downloader never connects to a Instagram account — not yours, and not the creator's.
